Don’t Ever Flush Sodium Down The Toilet – Things Will Go Horribly Wrong

Grant Thompson brings us a little experiment, which involves throwing some sodium down a toilet. So we don’t have to (and shouldn’t, really). The team created a standalone stunt toilet so none of the sodium they put in would make into the local water supply. They throw in a handful of sodium metal chunks down the flusher. The results don’t disappoint. Kaboom! The pile of rubble at the end is the best possible “Don’t try this at home” warning you could ever get.

Guess I’ll have to stick to flushing live grenades down instead.
